Researchers suggest a novel metric that employs aerosols to explore shifts in cross-border air pollution routes caused by climate variations.
Climate change stands as one of the most pressing environmental challenges today, contributing to extreme weather events such as droughts, wildfires, and floods. The main cause of climate change is the emission of greenhouse gases from human activities, which trap heat and elevate the Earth’s temperature. Additionally, aerosols like particulate matter (PM2.5) impact not only public health but also the Earth’s climate by absorbing and scattering sunlight and modifying cloud characteristics.

Although future climate change predictions are being reported, it is possible that the impacts of climate change could be more severe than predicted. Therefore, it is necessary to detect climate change accurately and as early as possible.
