The Ring

Horror movies don’t scare me anymore. But this was one movie that really scared me, I think it has to do with the fact that this movie had a really creepy atmosphere, like everything has this blueish green hue to it that adds this ghostly and dead feel to it. Also the anxiety of wondering how the victim dies on the seventh day kept my mind turning, until seeing Samara the first time I watched it. Also the idea of a ghost or spirit of some kind that uses your media and electronics to come get you is creepy to me because those things are usually our escape from every day life, but Samara's spirit uses those things as some portal to come and get you. Her appearance by itself is creepy enough but seeing her image come out of the T.V. is chilling, and was jolting to me the first few times I saw it.
