On October 12, 1915 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Theodore Roosevelt delivered one of his most famous speeches to the Knights of Columbus on the topic on AMERICANISM and the importance of a having a single, unifying national identity with common AMERICAN values in which he extolled the virtues of unitary loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America and warned of the perils of "Hyphenated Americans".
