North American base is in Allegan is voluntarily recalling a baby formula.

The Perrigo Company is recalling more than 16-thousand cans of Premium Infant Formula that has been sold at Michigan CVS stores. Elevated levels of Vitamin D were found in a batch of the formula. In a statement, Perrigo said "the vast majority of infants" would not be affected by "short-term consumption," but a small number of "vulnerable infants" could experience health complications. The statement also said parents of infants showing symptoms should report them to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online.
