After 111 years, Belding United Methodist Church has held its final worship service.

The historic church has shut down after dwindling to about eight people a week showing up for services. Reverend Melissa Wagner says the costs to maintain the church, which is 120-years-old, were too much and they were told seven years ago that they needed to close. She and other leaders are hoping the building can still be used by someone.
