The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) Every once in a while the Rutabaga administration stumbles into a correct policy. The Department of INJustice ruled that Google is a monopoly. Now do youtube and Fascistbook.

2) Cackles' veep selection of Tim Walz of Minnesota reeks of DEFENSE. It showed she doesn't think she can win PA at all (hence, no Shapiro) and that she needs to protect MN at all costs and hope for some breakthrough elsewhere. But the Somali/Muslim congregations there are NOT happy with Rutabaga and what they view as insufficiently pro-Muslim positions. So I see this as a net zero---no gain, no loss. Trump can still win Minny. Oh, and was Cackles paying people $20,000 to attend the DNC convention? You'd have to pay me a lot more than that.

3) The useless and cowardly Jebba Ellis has agreed to help the Arizona AG prosecute alternative electors to stay out of jail.

4) ChiCom nationals were arrested in Texas with 20 gold bars worth about $250,000 on them.

5) Space X successfully launched a spacecraft to the International Space Station.

6) A Louisiana police car was damaged when an owl flew into the car and began pecking the cop, who lost control. Booked on charges of assaulting an officer, the bird was quoted as saying, "Damn, right and I'll do it again."

7) This should have been done three years ago, as a mask advocate is dragged out of a public no-mask gathering.

8) A bottomless-beer and endless-taco festival in Kollyfornia turned violent as people showed up to find only four taco trucks and a line stretching to Fresno.

9) An assistant DA in New Kabul (NYC) had to quit when caught by pedophile hunters trying to have carnal relations with a 13-year-old.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

10) I had this yesterday but did not include it, but now it seems more relevant, as Rutabaga's economic advisor, in the middle of a stock market meltdown, left the White House to join Cackles' campaign team.

11) As everything gubment tries, it's "solution" to one problem only creates another, as the Kollyfornia "plastic bag ban" led to multi-layer plastic bags that were to be "reused" and which would be recycled. Nope. People aren't reusing them and they aren't being recycled.

12) We have record low savings and record high consumer debt.

13) Twit/X is just the latest big company to leave the hellhole that is Groomer City (SF), moving its HQ to Texas.

14) Speaking of Texas, "concrete cancer" (alkali-silica reaction) is destroying swimming pools in the state.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

15) This should happen here. The leader of Bengladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed resigned and fled the country when protestors turned violent.

16) Nothing to see here. The South Korean stock exchange suspended trading after futures fell by more than 5%.

17) Typical: the lunatic UK government is blaming Elon Musk for predicting what would happen after Muslim murder-pirates began hammer-and-knifing spress across England.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

18) The Kansas City Swifts football team is paying kicker Harrison Butker a $25.6 million extension on his contract, making him the highest paid kicker in the NFL, and showing that good things do happen to good people. The downside? He wasn't even the best kicker in the league. That would be Cowboys' kicker Brandon Aubrey, who hit a record 35 straight at a clip of 94%.

19) Another feel-good story, as Axios fired 50 employees.

AND FINALLY . . .

20) How can you go wrong? Miss USA winner, Alma Cooper, is a U.S. Army Officer.
