Doug Talks About: Do our doctors not know this about antibiotics?

Sometimes people believe that I’m against antibiotics. I am not because I firmly believe when they are used properly, they can save lives. But according to many medical papers, our doctors are not using them properly. “Antibiotic stewardship,” or using antibiotics properly, has been requested for many years, yet seems to have fallen on deaf ears. There are a few reasons for this, and we will discuss them on Monday from 3-4PM Central Time. For those who have taken round after round of antibiotics, please watch this show! Let’s discuss what science is saying about this practice and what approach you and your doctor can take if damage to you has occurred. Our doctors should know that excess antibiotic intake can lead to obesity, gut disease, antibiotic resistance and even cancer. Again, this show is not about judging the actions of prescribing physicians.
