House explosion in Maryland kills at least one, injures another

A Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) contractor was killed early Sunday (August 11) morning, in a house explosion in Abingdon, Maryland. Master Deputy State Fire Marshal, Oliver Alkire, identified the victim as a 35-year-old BGE contractor who was called to the house on reports of a gas leak.
