Plant of the Week - Stickybomb Rice - was offered between August 11, 2024 through August 18, 2024.

Stickybomb Rice is a member of the Arma-Mint family.
Stickybomb Rice costs 225 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 2, 4, and 7.)
Stickybomb Rice lobs a clump of rice at a single zombie in a lane it is in, or the lane above or below it.
This clump of sticky rice will completely stop the zombie.
After 1.25 seconds, this rice will explode. (+0.75 seconds on levels 3, 5, 7 and 9.)
When this rice clump explodes, it will do 40 damage (+ 15 damage per level) to all zombies within 1.5 tiles (+ 0.025 tiles per level) of said zombie.

Commentary:
It's easy to dislike Stickybomb Rice:
• It does not target fliers.
• It can be overwhelmed by chickens and weasels.
• It is quite expensive.
But:
• Not many plants target fliers. You can use Draftodil for fliers.
• Many plants can get overwhelmed by chickens and weasels. Use Lightning Reed or a spiked plant for fast zombies.
• Stickybomb Rice does cost a lot but one column of Stickybomb Rice can pretty much clear a level.

Bottom Line:
This plant does not get a lot of love and we do not see why. Stickybomb Rice's weaknesses can be handled quite easily. We recommend obtaining and leveling this plant.
Perks = SHIELDS / Jalapeno / Boss Buster (Damage to Zomboss.)

Difficulty 1 = Stickybomb Rice + Draftodil + Bonk Choy
Difficulty 2 = Scaredy-shroom + Blockoli
Difficulty 3 = Bloomerang + Pumpkin = FAIL - Bring Sun.

We also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
