I Form the Light, and Create Darkness

Who was Cyrus? He was the king of the Medes and Persians. Cyrus was used by the LORD God to return the Israelites from the Babylonian captivity. He gave them permission to return and provided them with supplies for the rebuilding of the Temple and the wall around Jerusalem. What you must realize is that Isaiah is prophesying about Cyrus at least 150 years before Cyrus was even born. This is an incredible prophecy that is specific and accurate. This is one of those sections of the Bible that is too accurate for some people. And why is that? Because people would rather disagree with the Bible, rather than let go of their pride and humble themselves before God.
