"Omsktransmash" delivered to the combat units of the Ground Forces of Russia a batch of modernized T-80BVM with a more advanced configuration of the stock anti-cumulative "visor", which now covers a much larger sector of the rear armor plate of the hull above the engine compartment and closer to the turret ring. The design of the "visor" is modular with movable flaps. The front sector of the upper hemisphere is covered with zigzag modules of spaced armor to defocus cumulative jets.

The vehicles are equipped with 1250-horsepower gas turbine engines GTD-1250, which provide the T-80BVM with a speed of up to 90 km/h.
