On September 21st, 2023, officers responded to a disturbance at a hospital. Hospital security informed them that a man in a wheelchair was refusing to leave the premises despite their repeated requests and was engaged in a loud argument. He was also talking loudly on the phone. In an act of resistance, the man rose from his wheelchair and continued talking on the phone. He wasn’t ready to listen to the officers and continued talking over them. Shortly after, he was transferred to the police unit. The male was charged with criminal trespass, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
