Escaping Romanized Christianity - Reformation 2.0, Session Twenty - Sabbath Service 06/15/2024

This week: Popular theology states that God's law is a covenant of condemnation and death, and that it's being brought to an end because the "new" covenant is the ministry of life apart from law. But, apart from Paul's (easily misunderstood) statements on that topic, what does the rest of Scripture say about the Law? Does it describe Torah itself as "death?" Does the Bible define God's Law as a bad thing? If not, maybe Paul has been misinterpreted.

Also, are Law and Covenant synonymous? Did the New Covenant erase the Law along with replacing the Old Covenant?

What if the Protestant Reformation didn't go far enough? What if Protestant Christians are still clinging to many creeds and dogmas of Greco-Roman Churches, even though those practices conflict with sound biblical doctrine? Watchman Alexander leads Disciples of Yeshua Congregation, a Hebrew Christian synagogue in Round Rock, Texas, in challenging the traditions that modern Christians have inherited.
