Only God is Great. Psalm 8

Psalm 8 is a beautiful hymn that extols the majesty of God. It opens and closes with the same phrase, "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" This framing highlights God's supreme greatness and the reverence He deserves.
The psalm marvels at the grandeur of the heavens, the work of God's fingers, and then reflects on the surprising place of honor and responsibility given to human beings within creation. Despite their seeming insignificance in the vast universe, humans are crowned with glory and honor and given dominion over God's works.
