Overachieving pervert in NYC for Citibank internship tries raping woman day after groping another: prosecutors

Chamberlain Nwi-ue, a 21-year-old student at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, was in New York City for a Citibank internship when he allegedly committed a series of sex crimes.

Nwi-ue was arrested after attempting to rape a woman the day after being released without bail for groping another woman. He had been fired from Citibank for behavioral issues prior to these incidents.

In his first attack on June 27, Nwi-ue assaulted a woman in Greenwich Village, and prosecutors charged him with forcible touching and sexual abuse.

After being released, he attempted to rape another woman in her East Harlem apartment.

He was arrested again and held on $100,000 bail.

Nwi-ue pleaded not guilty to burglary and attempted rape charges.

He boasted to police about his understanding of women, claiming that eye contact indicated consent. Nwi-ue's claims of involvement in various prestigious programs and organizations were denied by those institutions.
