This was fun. We visited the magnificent Mayan ruins of Uxmal and Kabah.

Day 6 of our honeymoon was adventurous. Our first stop took us to an old abandoned plastics fiber factory Henequen in Mérida. The Henequen industry in Yucatán is an agribusiness centered around a plant native to Yucatán, Mexico. After extraction from the Agave plant, henequen is processed into various textiles for domestic, commercial, agricultural, and industrial use, including binder twine for crops such as hay.

After exploring the factory, we visited the magnificent Mayan ruins of Uxmal and Kabah. These ancient sites left us in awe with their intricate architecture and rich history.
