SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PAUL ENENCHE

SATURDAY 1OTH AUGUST 2024

Today's TOPIC: DESIRE, A PATHWAY TO INSIGHT.

SCRIPTURE: As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? PSALM 42 verse 1 to 2. Hallelujah!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where there is no interest, there is no insight; where there is no desire, there is no discovery.

It has been established that desire is key to insight. Desire is the secret of discovery. Desire is critical to light and insight.

Show me a person who is desperate for God and his purpose in life, and I will show you a person who has a lot of insight and revelation concerning that which he desires.

In the Book of Daniel, king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream which he forgot, and none of the magicians or astrologers could recall or interpret his dream. But in Daniel 2 verse 16 to 19, the dream was revealed to Daniel at the frequency of desire. Daniel called his friends and they prayed to God concerning the revelation of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, and in the night, the dream and its interpretation were revealed to Daniel.

The secret was revealed to Daniel at the frequency of desire. Daniel desired to know the dream at the place of prayer, and he got the revelation of the dream and its interpretation.

You see, the level of revelation a person possesses is determined by the level of his desire.

For example, as a pastor, if you need light concerning the issue of the fruit of the womb, you must have passionate desire for the healing of people with barrenness. And with that passionate desire, you can easily access revelation in that area.

The truth is that where there is no interest, there is no insight; where there is no desire, there is no discovery. Where there is no research, nothing can be revealed. So, it is desire that makes a man to discover.

Desire is what makes a person to see what others cannot see out of Scripture.

Beloved, my counsel is: ask God to increase the level of your desire for Him in your heart, and your insight would also increase.

Remember this: Where there is no interest, there is no insight; where there is no desire, there is no discovery.

Take this ASSIGNMENT with you:
#1. Ask God to increase your level of hunger and passion for Him.

#2. Seek relevant insight from the Scripture in the direction of your passion or interest. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Lord, I ask that You increase my desire and passion for You and for the Kingdom. Open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your Word, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: Passion determines the future. Culled from the book, “15 Kingdom Strategies For Survival” by Dr Paul Enenche.

Today's DAILY READING: from the book of Jeremiah chapter 13 to 15.

We start with Jeremiah chapter 13, God is our refuge and strength,A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear,Even though the earth be removed,And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled,Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us;The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;He burns the chariot in the fire. Come, behold the works of the Lord,Who has made desolations in the earth. Be still, and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us;The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Jeremiah chapter 14, The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the droughts. “Judah mourns,And her gates languish; They mourn for the land,And the cry of Jerusalem has gone up. Their nobles have sent their lads for water; They went to the cisterns and found no water. They returned with their vessels empty; They were ashamed and confounded And covered their heads. Because the ground is parched,For there was no rain in the land,The plowmen were ashamed; They covered their heads. Yes, the deer also gave birth in the field,But left because there was no grass. And the wild donkeys stood in the desolate heights; They sniffed at the wind like jackals;Their eyes failed because there was no grass.” O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us,Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many,We have sinned against You. O the Hope of Israel, his Savior in time of trouble,Why should You be like a stranger in the land,And like a traveler who turns aside to tarry for a night? Why should You be like a man astonished,Like a mighty one who cannot save?Yet You, O Lord, are in our midst,And we are called by Your name;Do not leave us! Thus says the Lord to this people:“Thus they have loved to wander; They have not restrained their feet. Therefore the Lord does not accept them;He will remember their iniquity now,And punish their sins.” Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for this people, for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.” Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, the prophets say to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’ ” And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not be in this land’, ‘By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed! And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them—them nor their wives, their sons nor their daughters, for I will pour their wickedness on them.’ “Therefore you shall say this word to them:‘Let my eyes flow with tears night and day,And let them not cease; For the virgin daughter of my people Has been broken with a mighty stroke, with a very severe blow. If I go out to the field,Then behold, those slain with the sword! And if I enter the city,Then behold, those sick from famine!Yes, both prophet and priest go about in a land they do not know.’ ” Have You utterly rejected Judah?Has Your soul loathed Zion? Why have You stricken us so that there is no healing for us?We looked for peace, but there was no good; And for the time of healing, and there was trouble. We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness And the iniquity of our fathers,For we have sinned against You. Do not abhor us, for Your name’s sake;Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory.Remember, do not break Your covenant with us. Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain?Or can the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O Lord our God?Therefore we will wait for You,Since You have made all these. Hallelujah!

Jeremiah chapter 15, Then the Lord said to me, “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My mind would not be favorable toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth. And it shall be, if they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord:“Such as are for death, to death; And such as are for the sword, to the sword; And such as are for the famine, to the famine; And such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.” ’ “And I will appoint over them four forms of destruction,” says the Lord: “the sword to slay, the dogs to drag, the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. I will hand them over to trouble, to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem. “For who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem?Or who will bemoan you?Or who will turn aside to ask how you are doing? You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,“You have gone backward. Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;I am weary of relenting! And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;I will bereave them of children;I will destroy My people,Since they do not return from their ways. Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas;I will bring against them,Against the mother of the young men,A plunderer at noonday;I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly. “She languishes who has borne seven; She has breathed her last; Her sun has gone down While it was yet day;She has been ashamed and confounded. And the remnant of them I will deliver to the sword Before their enemies,” says the Lord. Woe is me, my mother,That you have borne me,A man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth!I have neither lent for interest,Nor have men lent to me for interest.Every one of them curses me. The Lord said:“Surely it will be well with your remnant;Surely I will cause the enemy to intercede with you In the time of adversity and in the time of affliction. Can anyone break iron,The northern iron and the bronze? Your wealth and your treasures I will give as plunder without price,Because of all your sins,Throughout your territories. And I will make you cross over with your enemies Into a land which you do not know; For a fire is kindled in My anger,Which shall burn upon you.” O Lord, You know;Remember me and visit me,And take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In Your enduring patience, do not take me away.Know that for Your sake I have suffered rebuke. Your words were found, and I ate them,And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name,O Lord God of hosts. I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers,Nor did I rejoice;I sat alone because of Your hand,For You have filled me with indignation. Why is my pain perpetual And my wound incurable,Which refuses to be healed? Will You surely be to me like an unreliable stream,As waters that fail? Therefore thus says the Lord:“If you return,Then I will bring you back; You shall stand before Me;If you take out the precious from the vile,You shall be as My mouth.Let them return to you,But you must not return to them. And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; And they will fight against you,But they shall not prevail against you;For I am with you to save youAnd deliver you,” says the Lord. “I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked,And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.” hallelujah!

AMAZING FACT: Snails have teeth. Between 1,000 and 12,000 teeth, to be precise. They aren’t like ours, though, so don’t be thinking about snails with ridiculous toothy grins. You will find the snail's tiny 'teeth' all over its file-like tongue.

TODAY'S PROPHETIC WORD AND (DECLARATION): The LORD open your eyes in this season to see wondrous things out of His Law in Jesus Name. AMEN!
