Tragic Brazil Plane Crash: Voepass Flight 2283 - No Survivors | August 2024
On August 9, 2024, tragedy struck near SĆ£o Paulo, Brazil, when Voepass Flight 2283, an ATR 72-500 aircraft, crashed into a residential area in Vinhedo. The plane, carrying 61 people, lost signal shortly before 1:30 p.m. local time and plummeted 17,000 feet in just one minute. Sadly, all 57 passengers and 4 crew members were confirmed dead. Brazilian President Luiz InĆ”cio Lula da Silva has declared three days of national mourning. Authorities have recovered the plane's black box, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of this devastating accident.
