"Rescue from Gilligan's Island" was a 1978 made-for-television comedy movie. The story is a continuation of the adventures of the shipwrecked castaways from the Gilligan's Island 1964–67 situation comedy. The movie stars Bob Denver and Alan Hale Jr.,along with all of the original cast, except Tina Louise. The movie was first aired on NBC as a special which was broadcasr in two parts, part one on October 14 and part two on October 21, 1978. The film has the castaways finally getting rescued after spending 15 years on the island.
