Kier Stalin is effectively oppressing and criminalising our RIGHT to protest. People are scared of getting a criminal record, going to prison, and losing their livelihoods.

We need everyone on the streets in Newcastle and around the country tomorrow, but we can't let them win - no looting or smashing shops up, because that is EXACTLY what they want you to do. They want us all banged up or too scared to come out.

You will be goaded by both the police and the counter-protest, but we need to stay calm. That doesn't mean don't defend yourself if you need to, just don't start owt.

Secondly: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

1. NO COMMENT - don't tell the police ANYTHING.

2. NO PERSONAL DETAILS - unless a specific power is being used, you do not need to tell them who you are.

3. UNDER WHAT POWER - If the police ask you to do anything, ask them what power or law they are using and why. Get their shoulder numbers and remember what they said. Record it if you can.

4. NO CAUTION - under no circumstances accept a caution from the police without advice from a sound solicitor - it is an admission of guilt. We need a list of solicitors who will work with us and not against us.

5. NO DUTY SOLICITOR - more often that not they will not have a clue about the laws surrounding protests.
