825-pound Michigan woman is homeless after her apartment managers told her she cannot return

Juaunia Bates is hospitalized at Corewell Health Wayne Hospital, but Medicare and the hospital say she needs to be discharged because they have her medical condition under control. The 33-year-old says she gained about 200 pounds in her apartment in Wayne and had not left it for around two years before more than a dozen paramedics and firefighters got her into the apartment elevator last month when she called 9-1-1 for pain in her legs. Bates says she's concerned because she doesn't have many options for where to go.
