This blackened mind confides into the broken shell of my design.
The great pillar extends its hand inside my mind.
Obscurity, a sickened, wretched life.
Within these words, within reflection, I know you’ll fade into a phantom.
A quiet secret calls our names.
And, over and over it moves through us.
These fading tones live inside us.
Behind the threads we lost along the way.
It follows, a gaping hole expands to burn away inside.
We wait. We wait. These hollow images, collapsing downward
As we wait. We wait to die.
And in the end, of what is measured.
This can’t be changed, this isn’t my fault.
Return to what we were before, and never wait to be again.
These fading tones die inside us.
Behind ourselves we lost along the way.
Dead are the voices that call out our names.
Faster, and faster, it follows behind us.
Cast off, cast off the pain of the way.
Drown in the doubt and the ways of this infinite mind.
