Following President Biden’s direction, the Secretary of Defense has just announced multiple adjustments to the United States’
military posture in the Middle East. This move comes in anticipation of a significant retaliatory attack by Iran and its proxies on Israel.
According to the Pentagon, Secretary Austin has ordered the deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72),
Carrier Strike Group 3, additional ballistic missile defense-capable cruisers, destroyers, and an additional fighter squadron
to the Middle East.
