Elk Lake Shoreline Trailhead @ Beach Day Use Picnic Area @ Sunrise! | Deschutes Central Oregon | 4K

I did this Hike at Sunrise (August 1, 2024), starting at the Elk Lake Shoreline Trailhead (South end) at Beach Day Use Picnic Area on the Southern tip of Elk Lake, Deschutes National Forest, Central Oregon. This is part of the greater Cascade Lakes area, accessible via the Cascade Scenic Byway.

This is a short video featuring the Trailhead location, initial Shoreline Forested views of Elk Lake framed by the silhouette of South Sister Mountain, and a very high quality Day Use Picnic Site nearest to the Trailhead.
