Snowy Weekend at Snowshoe: Discovering the Perfect Ski Conditions | Ski Vlog 2023 #snowshoe

Join Kim and me on our second trip to Snowshoe this season, filled with snowy adventures and the quest for the perfect ski conditions. Our journey starts with a drive up to Snowshoe, excitedly anticipating the snow-covered landscapes that awaited us.

We kicked off the weekend by picking up Kim's new skis at Snowcreek Mountain Sports in Silvercreek. Although I didn’t capture our Friday night runs on camera, it was the perfect warm-up for the weekend ahead.

The forecast promised a significant snowfall on Saturday, but reality handed us a mix of heavy snow and rain, turning our skiing experience into a spring-like adventure with soft, mushy snow. However, our spirits weren't dampened as we enjoyed a peaceful walk and indulged in some ice cream.

Sunday brought us the gift we were waiting for - fresh snow falling from the sky. The conditions were dramatically improved, and after a quick waxing session for Kim’s skis at The Mountain Adventure Center, we were back on the slopes. Sharing a coffee at Starbucks, we enjoyed a pleasant conversation with fellow ski enthusiasts.

The afternoon was a delight at Silvercreek, where we found ourselves amidst a few inches of new snow and hardly any crowds. We made countless runs, enjoying the fast and fluffy conditions.

Though I had to rush back to Charlotte for work, we left with great memories and anticipation for our next trip to Snowshoe on the 18th. Watch our video to experience the beauty and fun of Snowshoe and Silvercreek when the conditions align just right.
