How to make a Flat Earth sundial!

To create a sundial that indicates 12hr noon with the shadow directly under the stick, start by finding a straight, sturdy stick or object to serve as the sundial's vertical axis. Next, determine your latitude and locate the North Celestial Pole (NCP) or South Celestial Pole (SCP) in the night sky. During the day, use a compass or a method to estimate the direction of the NCP or SCP at your latitude horizon. Drive the stick into the ground at an angle that aligns it with the celestial pole.

At 12hr noon, the sun is at its highest point in the sky for any given location, which is known as solar noon. When the sundial is correctly aligned with the celestial poles, the shadow of the stick will indeed be directly under the stick at solar noon.
