Democrats Unravel After Major Loss in Primary

Last night, U.S. Representative Cori Bush (MO-1) became the second “Squad” member to lose a Democrat primary race in 2024 (losing to Wesley Bell). What does this primary loss indicate about Vice President Kamala Harris’ decision to select Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate instead of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro?
First, “Squad” member Rep. Jamaal Bowman (NY-16) was booted out of office after losing to a pro-Israel candidate (remember, he once pulled the fire alarm during a vote), and now the same has happened to Bush, who was an even higher-profile “Squad” member. Both of the losses are huge wins for America because we don’t need pro-Hamas leaders in Congress.
Ironically, Bush responded to the loss by openly threatening her political opponents, sounding like a member of Hamas herself:
"All you did was take some of the strings off. Because now, there are some strings that I have attached. And as much as I love my job, all they did was radicalize me. And so they should be afraid. . . . AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee), I’m coming to tear your kingdom down!"
It’s troubling to hear such antisemitic rhetoric coming from an incumbent candidate in America.
