...aircraft was tested as part of the shimmy tests.

The name comes from a dance popular in the USA in the 1920s, in which the dancer makes rapid movements with his shoulders. Such oscillations can occur in aircraft during high-speed taxiing, and as the amplitude of the oscillations increases, the risk of loss of control and failure of the landing gear legs increases.

Although today there are technical solutions to prevent this effect, full-scale tests are still carried out, in which a special metal plate is placed on the runway at an angle of 45 degrees. This creates the disturbance to artificially trigger the shimmy effect, and the relevant data is collected from special sensors on the aircraft.

As can be seen in the video, the aircraft continues to taxi without any signs of instability.
