Ducks, ducks, loose: Annual Ducky Derby to benefit Special Olympics Illinois is downtown

The annual Chicago Ducky Derby, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois, got underway Wednesday morning with the Derby Festival in Pioneer Court on North Michigan Avenue. A watch party is scheduled for noon, with official splashdown at 1 p.m. That's when thousands of rubber ducks will be dump-trucked into the Chicago River to race.
