Cori Bush's Unhinged, Threatening Remarks After Getting Trounced In Primary

Posted • August 7, 2024: There was some great news out of Missouri on Tuesday night as primary voters showed the execrable Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) to the curb to join her Squad brother, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) who also lost his primary. The Congress is going to be immeasurably better with both of these characters out.Wesley Bell trounced Bush, 51.2 to 45.6, according to the numbers up to the moment. Now, in a usual race, you might expect the loser to concede graciously, thank their family and staff for all their hard work, and then sit down. But this is a member of The Squad, so you will get a slightly different response. Bush's remarks were unhinged, and quite frankly, threatening.

Cori Bush defiant in defeat: "All they did was radicalize me, so now they need to be afraid." - "They about to see this other Cori, this other side," she said. "AIPAC, I'm coming to tear your kingdom down." - "All you did was take some of the strings off," she declared, saying "Let's be clear" several times. "All they did was radicalize me, so now they (unintelligible) afraid." It sounded like the word was muted but seemed to be saying they should be afraid of her. "They about to see this other Cori, this other side," she said. "AIPAC, I'm coming to tear your kingdom down!" she screamed. That sure sounds like a threat, not to mention antisemitic. And everyone cheered. Cori Bush continues: "And let me put all of these corporations on notice: I'm coming after you too. But I'm not coming by myself. I'm coming with all the people that's in here…"

Cori Bush hits at Wesley Bell for a looming civil trial, then sort of walks it back. "We need to build the community back, because what just happened helped to rip our community apart." She prods him to do his "homework" about Palestinian and Arab and Muslim communities. Cori Bush defiant in defeat: "All they did was radicalize me, so now they need to be afraid." - "They about to see this other Cori, this other side," she said.
