Mr. Gilbert encourages a discussion here this evening to find solutions about the sexually explicit book issues in the Cameron Public School classrooms, the teachers' 'private collection' and in the libraries themselves. CDN offers and extends an olive branch for anyone who wishes to express ideas, concepts and/or answers. This is not political. This will not be about politics. It's about finding common ground on an extremely controversial subject involving the foundation of a civilized society in 'our efforts' to establish a compass to guide us in decisions about this and equally important, instilling healthy core values in our children's education through the values we have as good neighbors to one another. The Cameron School Board states they want the community to be involved and engage in conversation. 2 years have passed, not one 'special session' for the community to 'air concerns' has yet happened.
