I wrote this song about being tired and in pain when awake. I have ptsd and so low energy from stress as well as medications prescribed to me. Sleep can feel like a release but can be a dangerous trap to fall into. When I was a child, I was afraid to sleep, and so I avoided it. I didn't know if it would still be me when I awoke and so I put those feelings into a song with an Invasion of the Body Snatchers theme.
