Tensions in the UK have shown no signs of easing, as anti-immigration protests and riots continue around the country following the murder of three children in Southport. In the towns of Rotherham and Tamworth, hotels housing migrants were surrounded by angry crowds, with some people attempting to start fires around the buildings. Dozens more towns and cities have seen clashes with police, violent counter protests by Antifa-affiliated groups, and armed Muslim gangs patrolling areas.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has continued to escalate tensions by announcing a ‘standing army’ of ‘specialist officers’ to crack down on protests. Amid the ensuing rumors of martial law following Starmer’s comments, Defense Secretary John Healey was forced to clarify that the British Army would not be deployed on the streets.

Dozens more protests are planned for the coming weeks, as divides appear to be deepening across the country.
