Germany shuts down the largest mosque.

Germany has shut down one of its largest mosques and ordered a ban on the Shia Muslim organization running it for religious extremism. Police raided Hamburg's Blue Mosque and 53 other properties across the country, in a significant crackdown on political Islamism. The interior ministry formally banned the Islamic Centre of Hamburg and its affiliated organizations for preaching totalitarian rule, aggressive antisemitism, and support for the terror group Hizbollah.
