Green Bay, WI: On August 5, 2024, a gathering of Assembly and Senate candidates, along with Republican County Chairs, came together to address concerns of dark money funds and outside interests allegedly working with the Wisconsin Republican party. These forces were accused of actively opposing grassroots conservative candidates who are challenging incumbent republicans in upcoming elections. The group in question, known as the "Stronger Wisconsin Fund," officially registered with Wisconsin on July 12 and has reportedly poured over $400,000 into the Republican primary race. Their efforts have been targeted at ten candidates who are running against established incumbent republicans.

Speaker of the Assembly, Robin Vos, has been suggested to have a hand in these efforts to prevent grassroots conservatives from succeeding in the primaries scheduled for August 13, 2024. Dark monies appear to be playing a key role in attempting to maintain the status quo and hinder the success of challenger candidates.
