US Constitution&Other Writings 1.3- The Silence Dogood Letters 6-8
Letter #6- Silence Dogood talks about the vice and folly of pride. She elaborates in her own words, on the famous saying of, "Pride goeth before Destruction, and a haughty spririt goeth before the Fall."
Letter #7- In this letter Ms. Dogood gives us an idea about how moving, yet pathetic, the new worlds poetry was. She gives us an idea how to craft the poems more carefully and give them more sustenance to make them better.
Letter #8- Silence Dogood makes a point about freedom of speech and the legal right to examine all governing bodies or officers and be able to have an opinion on the job of those public offices/officers. To not allow freedom of speech to speak freely on whether or not governing bodies or persons is doing bad or good, is a sign of tyranny. For only those that are not morally just have the freedom of speech to fear.
