Seaweed (A Lovecraftian descent into the darkness of the unconscious--the undermind)

Experimental, independent film inspired by the improvisational music of Dark City Orchestra. Seaweed was originally shot in 2012, inspired by the lyrical content of the song of the same name created by Dark City Orchestra during an improvisational jam session. The film tells the story of a woman battling her demons, struggling with her identity. She begins to confuse illusion with reality and must finally face the dark secrets of her past, which forces her to confront the startling reality about who she truly is. Influenced by the style of David Lynch and possessing a Lovecraftian undercurrent, the film's narrative explores the nature of the dark tendrils that continuously pull us into the nether regions we long to avoid.
