Biden scolds Netanyahu in hostage deal talk

During a conversation this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed US President Joe Biden that progress was being made in negotiations and suggested sending a delegation.

Biden bluntly responded, “Stop bulls****ing me.” Concurrently, Netanyahu had discussions with Israeli security leaders about a potential deal with Hamas.

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi supported entering negotiations to secure a favorable outcome and emphasized continued pressure on Hamas.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also supported the deal, arguing against delaying it due to security concerns.

Sources familiar with the negotiations suggested that Netanyahu’s current stance would not lead to progress.

In response to these reports, Netanyahu’s office stated that Hamas is attempting to nullify the agreed outline by demanding an end to the war and other conditions, the Jerusalem Post has reported.
