Plant of the Week - Fire Peashooter - was offered between August 4, 2024 through August 11, 2024.

Fire Peashooter is a member of the Pepper-Mint family.
Fire Peashooter costs 175 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 6, and 10.)
Fire Peashooter fires a flaming pea which deals 40 damage. (+20 damage per level.)
When given plant food, Fire Peashooter shoots a flame down the lane dealing 225 damage to all zombies in said lane. (+25 damage at levels 3, 6 and 9.)
Fire Peashooter is immune to being frozen.
Fire Peashooter can melt nearby frozen objects.

Commentary:
Fire Peashooter is a strange plant, apart from the obvious. Fire Peashooter does decent damage which increases at decent rate as it levels up. But the plant food effect is rather weak - 1/8th the damage of last week's plant of the week - Jalapeño. The ability to melt ice and immunity to freezing winds is great in Frostbite Caves. But there are also levels where the heat generated is minimal.

Bottom Line:
Fire Peashooter is a situational plant. This much is obvious. If cold is not a problem with a level, there are plenty of plants which cost less and do more damage.

Perks = Freeze Zombies / Sun Perk (Sun falls from the sky) / Boss Buster (Damage to Zomboss.)

We also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
