My friend asked me to watch Shameless because he said I'd recognize a lot of the characters as being ones I've met here in Elko in the past year. He was right. Unfortunately, I fixed on the cooking and the synchronicities. Chicken Kiev is not well known. My mother made it using a Land O'Lakes recipe. I watched Ep. 3 AFTER I hosted a "Coming Out" party for my best friend's friend who had just gotten out of prison. I can't make any of this up. I just can't.
