Israel intercepts barrage of rockets fired by Hezbollah

Hezbollah has fired around 30 rockets into Israel from Lebanon with the Israeli air defence system intercepting them all.

In a statement claiming responsibility for the rocket attack, Hezbollah made clear it was not in response to the assassination of their senior commander, Ismail Haniyeh, but to Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon.
