Raw Bodycam footage shows shootout as Atlanta PD officer pursues suspect after domestic dispute call

On July 27, 2024, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Atlanta police responded to 782 Peachtree St NE in reference to a physical domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and realized the suspect had already fled the scene on foot. While canvassing the area, officers spotted the suspect, and a foot chase ensued. During this time, the suspect fired multiple rounds at the pursuing officer. The officer returned fire, striking the suspect in the arm. He was able to take the suspect into custody without further incident and recovered the handgun that was used. No innocent bystanders nor the officer were injured. Officers on scene rendered aid and placed a tourniquet on the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Tabiaus Sheely's injured arm. He was later transported to the hospital for further treatment and was charged accordingly.
