The origins of the Church of God. Richard Spurling was believed that God’s church was broader just the Landmark Baptist Movement, so he began to study and pray for a restoration of the New Testament type of church.
Many religious and civic leaders persecuted the new holiness believers. Persecutors polluted their wells, shot at them, them, beat them and even burned several homes.
