Convergence of Prophecy “The Spirit of the Antichrist” 7/31/24

The apostle John wrote:
By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. (1 John 4:2-3 ESV)
John isn’t referring to disembodied spirits; he is speaking about people who are led by a demonic spirit.
Spiritual doctrines are promoted through human spokespersons…in our example, this evening, the Paris Olympics.
Teachers of truth are filled with the Spirit of God and thus are agents who speak for God.
Teachers of falsehood are spreading the “doctrines of demons,” as Paul writes:
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons (1Timothy 4:1 NASB).
Why I am quoting these verses because of what happened at the Olympics in Paris this week.
