Russian Army is advancing 60 meters per day in Ukraine

Over the course of a year, Russian occupiers advanced 21 km in the Pokrovsky direction, but lost a huge number of personnel and equipment. This was stated by Ukrainian military and political observer Alexander Kovalenko on the air of the telethon.

He noted that every month the Russian occupation forces lose a large amount of resources - human and mechanized. According to him, this trend will continue until the end of 2024, because it is necessary to exhaust the enemy troops as much as possible. The expert notes that since our troops are on the defensive, they sometimes have to leave their positions in order to retreat to more advantageous ones, from where they can inflict more damage on enemy units.

Kovalenko reported that since July 31, 2023, that is, in a year, the occupiers have advanced 21 km in the Pokrovsky direction.

"What is 21 km per year? This is an average statistical movement of 60 meters per day. This is their pace. From time to time they capture populated areas, villages, and before that they completely destroy them, turning them into ruins with KABs, artillery. They have no other option for capturing a populated area. At the same time, the enemy suffers huge losses," he emphasized. Speaking about the enemy's use of drones, Kovalenko noted that, in particular, Russians receive FPV drones from China as finished products, as well as in parts and assemble them themselves and can call them, for example, "Dobrynya" and pass them off as their own products. At the same time, he noted that the enemy may have problems with drones, because in recent months they have been increasing the use of FPV drones in the combat zone.

"Every month, the occupiers increased their use by 15-20%. And as of the end of July, they had another record for the use of FPV drones - more than 10 thousand units per month. This is an absolute record in 2024. If we talk about Shahed 136, Iran has recently been unable to fully satisfy the Russian occupiers with this component. That is, 350-400 kamikaze drones per month is the average statistical indicator for the use of this component by the Russians, both their own drones and those coming from Iran," Kovalenko said.
