Funeral prayers for Ismail Haniyeh: Hundreds of mourners attend service in Doha

The announcement from the Pentagon comes hours after dignitaries from across the Middle East said their final farewell to one of the region's most significant political figures.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been buried north of Qatar's capital Doha, following a prayer service.

He was assassinated in Iran on Wednesday.
