Music labels' AI lawsuits create new US copyright puzzle

Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music sued AI music companies Udio and Suno in June, marking the music industry's entrance into high-stakes copyright battles over AI-generated content. Reuters legal reporter Blake Brittain says the lawsuits follow those brought by authors and text producers, but music "makes things a little more complicated."
