Certainly the Prosecution (government) does not have to assist the Defense in their case. However, it is clear in this clip that the government does not want the witness (Gerald Wood) to be served with a subpoena by the Defense Attorney. It is very possible that Gerald Wood will disappear without being served by Tina Peters' Defense team. If they ever get the chance to call him back to the stand, they need to specifically ask him if the government ever offered him the possibility of full immunity...
