Guelph News: Mayor's Public Space ByLaw Special Meeting, Homeless Hotels & Businesses Close |Jul '24

The Fellowship of Guelphissauga continues with more meetings about the Housing Cost Crisis taking up public space. The freshly laundered money at the Homeless Hotels was running dry, so more than a dozen people were booted back onto the streets. They had setup camp at their old site downtown, ruining the view from the Mayor's office window. He was watching his European Inspired SimCity deteriorate in front of his eyes as the Planet Bean coffee shop was also going broke downtown. To tackle the expanding Housing Cost Crisis, and restore the scenic view from his office window, the Mayor called a special meeting on August 28th to talk about it. Can Carly of Klassen and the Elder Elves do anything about the Shire's Housing Cost Crisis, and will the Mayor's special meeting restore the view downtown?
