The Israel Defense Forces said Thursday that the only airstrike carried out Tuesday night into Wednesday morning was the strike in Beirut that killed Hezbollah’s second-in-command, Fuad Shukr.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said “I want to emphasize there was no aerial strike, not a missile and not an Israeli drone, in the entire Middle East that night and I won’t comment further.”
The statement came as Israel has not claimed responsibility for the assassination of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh.
The New York Times reporting the explosion in Tehran that killed Haniyeh was set off by a remote-controlled bomb planted about two months ago in the Hamas leader’s room in the guesthouse where he was staying in the Iranian capital of Tehran for the new Iranian president’s inauguration.
Iran has vowed revenge against Israel for the death of Haniyeh.
Thursday also marked Day 300 of the Israel-Hamas war, which followed the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel that killed 1,200 people and left 251 people as hostages. #livefromfox #foxnews #breakingnews #topstories #politicalnews #globalnews #worldaffairs #newsalert #republicans #biden #trumptrain #israel #freepalestine #trump #news
